Favourites - 2012 Edition

Lets just get into it!

Last year I found my self going for the same things over and over. I will admit, I am a little bias. Since I started working for Biotherm, I've been using nothing but their skin care. I've actually found a regime that works for me. Out of all the products I've tried over 2012, Bioderma has to be by far my favourite.

Bioderma Sensibio H2O - This gets rid of all the crap on my face like nothing else does. It even removes the Benefit They're Real mascara that does not budge.

What the Bioderma site had to say
At the cutting edge of innovation, BIODERMA has pioneered micellar solutions. Specially formulated for sensitive, normal to dry skins, the Sensibio H2O micelle solution gently cleanses face and eyes. It removes water-resistant make-up. The micelles contained in its formula effectively micro-emulsify impurities while maintaining the skin’s balance (soap-free, physiological pH).

Biotherm Aquasource 24hr skin perfecting moisturizer
My thoughts - this cream gives a great cooling effect. It's not quite a gel and not quite a cream. It leaves me with the perfect amount of moisture.

Here's what the biotherm site had to say
Biotherm creates its 1st 24hr moisturizer – perfecting care, enriched with Aqualiss complex. It concentrates the equivalent of 5,000 litres of thermal spring water* and micro-spheres filled with perfecting ingredients to replump the skin’s hydration mattress and smooth skin.

Biotherm Aquasource Nuit
A jelly that gives you intense hydration over night. I find I don't necessarily have to use a moisturizer with this unless I'm feeling overly dry.

Site
AQUASOURCE Nuit contains revolutionary skin care technology to specifically address the overnight hydration needs of women. Concentrated in Mannose, Thermal Plankton Cellular Water and P. Antarctica, a micro-organism that has the unique ability to retain water, Aquasource Nuit helps replenish skin’s water reserves. Upon wakening, the skin looks beautiful and more luminous, day after day.

Biotherm Source Therapie 7
My daytime serum, since I've started using it I've found I have a softer and more even skin tone.

Site
Over 7 years of legendary perfection, and now a new efficiency: 7 inonized minerals to catalyze cellular metabolism, 7 benefits concentrated in one serum.
7 Benefits: Velvety-soft touch, smooth skin, hydration, regeneration, tight pores, matte skin and an even tone.

Biotherm Aquasource Superserum
I hate winter, absolutely hate. Dry skin, flakiness, itchiness, cold. For the days I feel like winter is especially draining my will to live I use the Aquasource Superserum. It gives me that extra hydration I need to not tear my face off.

Site
In a breakthrough ultra-moisturizing formula, Biotherm biologists have succeeded in concentrating 5,000 litres of thermal spring water* and combining it with Himalayan Pink Salt. Also known as “the salt of life”, this Pink Salt is exceptionally pure and was formed over 300 million years ago, containing more than 70 minerals and trace elements essential to healthy cell structure. The ultra-fine texture of Aquasource Superserum insulates the skin from environmental harm while letting it breathe properly. This formula effectively protects the skin from dehydration and allows it to maintain an optimal level of moisture, even when tested under extreme conditions such as wind, cold, heat and air conditioning.

Nars Concealer
This concealer is by far my favourite for under eye circles. The shade Chantilly is just slightly lighter than my skin tone (didn't think it was possible!) and it has a creamy texture that blends amazingly and stays all day. I do not recommend this for blemishes.

Site
Brilliantly obscures imperfections and dark spots with a creamy, vitamin-rich formula that nourishes the skin for all-day wear. Crease-proof and easily blendable for a flawless finish.

Too Faced Pink Leopard Bronzer
I've posted about this product before, this is not only a 2012 favourite, but an all time favourite as well! It isn't too dark or orangey for my face and doesn't have too much shimmer. I don't use this all over my face (more of a blush). Who wants to look like an Oompa Loompa?

Site
What It Is:
Our lovely little leopard bronzer combines gorgeous shades of golden bronzes, gilded pinks and neutral fawns to brighten skin and create a glorious all over glow that will have you looking sun-kissed any time of the year.
All Skin Tones: Fair to medium skin tones are enriched with warmth while deeper skins are infused with a healthy radiance.
Natural Finish: Beautifying combination looks natural when applied and creates a look that lasts for hours.

Benefit They're Real Mascara
This mascara is amazing! It lasts all day and my lashes look amazing. The only downfall I have with this product is it's a bitch to remove! Good complaint right?

Site
Why we love it
They're real! lengthens, curls, volumizes, lifts & separates. Our jet black, long-wearing formula won’t smudge or dry out. A specially designed brush reveals lashes you never knew you had!
94% saw dramatic length & volume*
90% saw base-to-tip curl*
94% saw visible lift*
100% saw long-wearing results*
*Results observed in a consumer panel survey

So that would be the end of my favourite products for the year! Let me know what your favourite products are! Is there something you recommend or would like me to try out? Let me know I. The comments! Also, I'm sorry about the formatting! I can't really do anything on this iPad!

Terrible Tuesday

Hey guys!

Terrible Tuesday will be a little blurb on a product that I've tried and will NOT be repurchasing.  Today's will be Balea's 3 in 1 face cleansing cloths for all skin types (cleansing, toner and eye makeup remover).  I've been looking for a new makeup wipe since my face decided to hate me.  I picked these up at Shoppers for a very inexpensive $2.99.  The physical quality of the wipe are great. They're thick, very moist ( I hate that word), and they do a pretty good job at removing makeup. However, the scent is very overpowering. It also burns the eyes. This wouldn't be a product I would repurchase.

NOTD: Silver Flowers

Hey Guys!

Here's another NOTD brought to you by my BM plates, haha.

PRODUCTS USED:
  • BM16
  • LA Colours - Hypnotic
  • Nicole by OPI - Light a Candle
  • China Glaze Strong Adhesion Base Coat
  • Seche Vite
The colour "Hypnotic" actually has a greenish gold shimmer in it, but you can't see it at all in the picture. ALSO, this was my first time using this polish, and it completely dyed my nails. I used base coat and everything!! I should take a picture of them later, because they are a terrible greenish blue colour.
Not that my nails are ever plain anyways, but still.

Time to get ready for work I suppose!
Bye!

NOTD: Cupcake nails!!

Hey Guys!
K, so, anyone who knows me, knows I love cupcakes. Everything about them. Loves. Cupcakes.
So, when I seen cupcake nails circulating on google, I had to do them...
I first did them on my friend Ashley (they were a part of her birthday nails seen here!!), and I loved them. A few nights ago I decided to give them a go again, and I did all of my fingers with cupcakes on them :)
The only thing I would have changed is my colour choices. I don't know how I feel about the yellow cups. Hahaha.
Oh, I also bought a crazy florescent light bulb too, so Im hoping that will make some of my pictures brighter.
Here they areee:
More pic's and products used after the jump!
