NOTD: Apple Mani

Hey Guys!
Just posting a NOTD before I head to work. For some reason I came up with apples last night when I wanted to do my nails.. I really don't know where it came from, and I actually don't even like eating red apples, but I thought this idea would be really cute!
Yayyyy Apples!
PRODUCTS USED:
  • OPI - So Many Clowns...So Little Time (Creme Base)
  • Nicole by OPI - Keep It Real (Apples)
  • Nicole by OPI - Fuchsia Wife (Applied Over Apples)
  • China Glaze - Starboard (Leaf)
  • Art Deco Black (Stems, and used with 'Keep It Real' to shade apples)
I think it came out cute, the only thing you can't see in this picture is the sparkle that "Fuchsia  Wife" gave the apples.
I think I might try some other fruit mani's, I think it could go over well!
They might be cute for summer :)
What do you think, yes? No? Maybe?

Time for me to go to work!!
Byeeee!!

NOTD: Skittles

Hey guys!

I did this 'skittles' mani, and I think it turned out great. For those of you who are unfarmilliar with the term (when I first heard of it, all I could think of was candy, haha), you have to have five different designs on one hand.
Honestly, you could do each finger differently, if you wanted, but I decided to keep both hands the same, but switch the fingers up a bit.
I loved doing this! I was sososososooooooooooooooooo happy with the polkadots! I did them with my dotting tool, and I think I did them pretty well.
What do you think? Have you ever done skittles?

PRODUCTS USED:
  • MAC - Blue India
  • China Glaze - For Audrey
  • China Glaze - Lightening Bolt
  • Sally Hansen - Whirlwind White
  • LA Colours - Current
  • Seche Vite
  • Dotting tool

I hope everyone has a great weekend!!

Kaylie's Haul!

Hey Guys!
I really wanted to do some new easter nails for you yesterday but I just couldn't find the time! I actually spent almost 5 hours decorating a cake for my boyfriend's grandmother's 80th birthday. It turned out to be a success, which is great, but it took so freakin' long. Sad days.
This week I have been all about the sales when it comes to buying nail polish, so I decided to make a haul post because I haven't in sooooooooo long. I'm trying to save money because I'm actually getting my drivers license (wayyyyy over due) next week, and I was also informed that I will be going on a trip to Calgary, Alberta in August.
So, here is my awesome money saving haul, ahaha.

I bought China Glaze's Bad Kitty, and yes, this one was actually regular price, BUT, I really like sparkles, and pink, so I needed it :).
Plus I honestly don't have anything like it, so i'm happy with it.

I bought these two Orly polishes at Sally's (Monroe's Red, and Razzle), and they were on clearance for only $2.99! I had to get them. They are my first Orly's so I am very excited to use them.

Only $17.00 for 4 Polishes!

Next, I heard from a local site I go on that some OPI's were on sale at Regis Salon, so I went there a few nights ago hoping they had some left, and they did. I got all of these for 60% Off! Honestly, how can you pass it up?
I'm not going to lie, they are nice colours but I doubt I would have picked them up at regular price. Maybe with the exception of 'Chop-Sticking To My Story', because I love this burnt orange colour.

I promise I will have a new Easter NOTD up by tonight! Hope your all haveing a great weekend!

Have you had any great nail polish finds this week??

Mini Haul

Hey, here's a mini haul for you guys!
Not Shown: Burts Bees Lemon Cuticle Butter & Beautique Lip Liner in Currant, Nivea Lip Hydrocare

Left to Right: Never Glum Plum, Shower Together, China Rouge, Electric Sapphire

I bought the first three polishes at my local Sally's Beauty Supply. The Nina Ultra Pro polish in Never Glum Plum ($5.99 with a Sally's member card) isn't showing up well in the picture. It's actually this gorgeous grey tinted plum colour. I'll do swatches of these as soon as I get a nail wheel. The China Glaze  ($5.49) colours are a lot deeper in person. The Shower Together blue is an amazing. Electric Sapphire I picked up half off at Icing (Reg $5).

Left to Right: Sultry Violet, Vivid Plum, White Diamond, Precious Pink
This is another Flaunt Beauty palette from Icing (I bought while picking up giveaway goodies!) This one is "Parisian Plum" The Sultry Violet colour is a darker version of Never Glum Plum. They're all a satin finish. The Vivid Plum is a rich brownish purple.  White Diamond is your standard white. Precious pink is exactly what it sounds like, a very soft pink.  I'm excited to do a FOTD with this palette! I also added in a NYX Jumbo Pencil in Milk (hint hint) that I've had for awhile. I'm gonna do a review/comparison with these very soon.

So that's my little haul! The giveaway stuff should be posted soon, we just have to get it all together and take pictures and talk about the rules.  I hope you guys are excited!

NOTD: Multi Colour Shatter!

 Hey Guys!!
Today I am bring you my shatter experiment. At first this was not what I was going for... My nails were just supposed to be yellow with pink crackle...

I didn't really like the combination for my skin colour (i'm really pale), so I decided to use my black shatter on top of what I already had...
I like it! :)
You can't see the yellow very well in this picture, but I love the way it looks in person. The yellow is subtle, and it brings it a bit of brightness. Plus, there is coral micro glitter in the yellow, so it catches the light.

PRODUCTS USED:
  •  Nicole by OPI - Yellow It's Me
  • China Glaze - Broken Hearted (Crackle Glaze)
  • OPI - Black Shatter
  • Seche Vite
I can't wait to do this with other colours! I'm thinking blues, purples, and greys? I'm thinking the colours will show up a lot better too.

I'm thinking about doing my Easter nail art soon as well. To soon? Or should I start ASAP?

NOTD: Simple Dots

Hey Guys!
Today has been yet another lazy day! I had the day off so the bf and I went to see the Lincoln Lawyer (which is pretty good!), then we went home, and I made cupcakes :), after that we just lazed around and watched CSI.
Back to work tomorrow! :(
So, tonight I decided to do another simple design. I'm unsure of what to call it, but it has dots!
I love doing crazy/intense nail art, but I know that it might not be everybody's thing, so I'm going to try posting simple art more often. Something that anyone at any level can do!

PRODUCTS USED:
  • China Glaze - Blue Iguana (blue half of nail)
  • Nicole by OPI - Light A Candle (silver/mauve part of nail)
  • Sally Hansen Insta Dri - Whirlwind White (white dots)
  • Nicole by OPI - "Baby" Blue (small blue dots)
  • Dotting tool
  • Seche Vite (top coat)

    NOTD: Green Polka Dots

    Hey guys,
Today was a lazy but tiring Sunday, so I decided to do something quick and easy. I took off my 'electric pineapple' that I put on last night, and tried out 'cha cha cha'. I'm not one to wear just solid colour, so I thought polka dots would be cute.
I went with Nicole by OPI's 'give me the 1st dance' because I didn't want to over power the bold green. I liked how it turned out, how about you?

    PRODUCTS USED:
    • China Glaze -  Cha Cha Cha
    • Nicole by OPI - Give Me The 1st Dance
    • Konad m79 plate

I'm off to watch the Juno's!

    China Glaze Island Escape Swatches!

    Hi Guys!!
China Glazes' newest collection 'Island Escape' got released a bit early at my local Chatters! Sooooooooo, I ran out and got it today to swatch for you guys!!
Left to right: Electric Pineapple, Cha Cha Cha, Blue Iguana, Papaya Punch, 108 Degrees, Senorita Bonita
Just to let you guys know, these were such difficult polishes to take photos of. Maybe it could be that it is night time or something, but some of the colours came out darker and such.
Left to right: Electric Pineapple, Cha Cha Cha, Blue Iguana, Papaya Punch, 108 Degrees, Senorita Bonita
Left to right: Electric Pineapple, Cha Cha Cha, Blue Iguana
Left to right: Papaya Punch, 108 Degrees, Senorita Bonita
     Electric Pineapple

    DESCRIPTION AND REVIEWS:

Electric Pineapple: The nail wheel swatch is not very true to colour, however the picture of the bottle is (I also just added it on my nails, which is pretty good too). This colour is a yellow/light green creme, and it is opaque in two coats. It's really different, and I like it. I know I don't have anything like this in my collection, so it was a good buy.

Cha Cha Cha: I love it!! This is a green shimmer polish. You can see yellow and peachy gold in the shimmer when in the light, it is so gorgeous. It is opaque in three coats, but it can show brush marks which is it's only negative.

Blue Iguana: There is something so nice about this colour blue. This is a bold yale blue colour, with micro shimmer and what seems to be tiny micro sparkles. You can see flecks/shimmer of blue and purple when it is in the light. I don't know what but i'm loving all the blues lately.

Papaya Punch: Okay, so, it is a nice colour, but it's not good for my skin tone. I am very pale, so I think this would be better for a darker skin tone. Also, the nail wheel swatch is not true to colour. This was another one that was hard to capture. The colour is more like the bottle picture. It is a very bright and bold orange creme. Nice for the summer! Also, opaque in two coats.

108 Degrees: This is a berry pink with micro glitter. It was another hard one to swatch because it is a bit lighter than the nail wheel, and it also has was more shimmer than the camera was willing to show. I really like this colour, but it's not very unique. It looks alot like China Glazes' 'Ahoy!', but lighter. Opaque in three coats.

Senorita Bonita: This one is a medium purple colour (Barney purple!!), with micro glitter and shimmer. It's a really nice colour, and when under natural light, it shows pink glitter/shimmer. Once again, the camera didn't like the swatch so it came out darker and didn't show the shimmer it had to offer! Opaque in three coats.

Over all, I like this collection. I found every polish felt so nice after it dried, they were all so smooth. They were all great to work with, and had good formula, and my favorite polish out of all of them wasssssssssssssssss Senorita Bonita!
Tell us what your favorite colour is! We want to know! (That colour just might be included in our giveaway which is coming up VERY SOON!!!) :)
    WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE COLOUR?

    NOTD: Birthday Nails

    Hey guys!
Yesterday it was my friends birthday, and I did her nails. They came out pretty cute!! I found the cupcake design on google, and used it because it was so freakin' cute. I love it.
    PRODUCTS USED:
    • China Glaze - For Audrey (pinky and thumb background)
    • Avon - Cotton Candy (heart) mixed with Nicole by OPI - I Pink I Love Him
    • Sally Hansen Insta-Dri - Whirlwind White (icing and 17)
    • Nicole by OPI - Have A Heart (heart on top of cupcake)
    • Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear - Virtual Violet (ring finger background)
    • Nicole by OPI - One Less Lonely Glitter (middle finger)
    • OPI - Lucky Lucky Lavender (under OLLG)
    • Sally Hansen - Everlasting Pink (pointer finger background)
    • Dotting tool
So many colours used, ahaha. There were also random bright colours used for the sprinkles on the cupcakes and the candles on the pointer finger. I think they came out really good :) I really want to do a full cupcake mani now, lol.
Hope everyone has a great weekend!
