NOTD: Blue Gradient

Hey hey hey!
Tonight I thought I would try gradient again (I have done it before, and I found it such a pain, and I also found it very difficult), and it came out really good!
Thanks goes out to Rebecca of rebecca likes nails. If you haven't check out her blog, do it now! The gradient tutorial will deffinatly help anyone who isn't comfortable with it yet.
K, so here are my nails!!
I failed at stamping my thumb :(

Yayyyyy! :)
Products used and LOTS more pictures after the jump. I took a lot of pictures, I'm sorry. Hahaha.

NOTD: Silver Flowers

Hey Guys!

Here's another NOTD brought to you by my BM plates, haha.

PRODUCTS USED:
  • BM16
  • LA Colours - Hypnotic
  • Nicole by OPI - Light a Candle
  • China Glaze Strong Adhesion Base Coat
  • Seche Vite
The colour "Hypnotic" actually has a greenish gold shimmer in it, but you can't see it at all in the picture. ALSO, this was my first time using this polish, and it completely dyed my nails. I used base coat and everything!! I should take a picture of them later, because they are a terrible greenish blue colour.
Not that my nails are ever plain anyways, but still.

Time to get ready for work I suppose!
Bye!

NOTD: Cupcake nails!!

Hey Guys!
K, so, anyone who knows me, knows I love cupcakes. Everything about them. Loves. Cupcakes.
So, when I seen cupcake nails circulating on google, I had to do them...
I first did them on my friend Ashley (they were a part of her birthday nails seen here!!), and I loved them. A few nights ago I decided to give them a go again, and I did all of my fingers with cupcakes on them :)
The only thing I would have changed is my colour choices. I don't know how I feel about the yellow cups. Hahaha.
Oh, I also bought a crazy florescent light bulb too, so Im hoping that will make some of my pictures brighter.
Here they areee:
More pic's and products used after the jump!

NOTD: Apple Mani

Hey Guys!
Just posting a NOTD before I head to work. For some reason I came up with apples last night when I wanted to do my nails.. I really don't know where it came from, and I actually don't even like eating red apples, but I thought this idea would be really cute!
Yayyyy Apples!
PRODUCTS USED:
  • OPI - So Many Clowns...So Little Time (Creme Base)
  • Nicole by OPI - Keep It Real (Apples)
  • Nicole by OPI - Fuchsia Wife (Applied Over Apples)
  • China Glaze - Starboard (Leaf)
  • Art Deco Black (Stems, and used with 'Keep It Real' to shade apples)
I think it came out cute, the only thing you can't see in this picture is the sparkle that "Fuchsia  Wife" gave the apples.
I think I might try some other fruit mani's, I think it could go over well!
They might be cute for summer :)
What do you think, yes? No? Maybe?

Time for me to go to work!!
Byeeee!!

NOTD: Skittles

Hey guys!

I did this 'skittles' mani, and I think it turned out great. For those of you who are unfarmilliar with the term (when I first heard of it, all I could think of was candy, haha), you have to have five different designs on one hand.
Honestly, you could do each finger differently, if you wanted, but I decided to keep both hands the same, but switch the fingers up a bit.
I loved doing this! I was sososososooooooooooooooooo happy with the polkadots! I did them with my dotting tool, and I think I did them pretty well.
What do you think? Have you ever done skittles?

PRODUCTS USED:
  • MAC - Blue India
  • China Glaze - For Audrey
  • China Glaze - Lightening Bolt
  • Sally Hansen - Whirlwind White
  • LA Colours - Current
  • Seche Vite
  • Dotting tool

I hope everyone has a great weekend!!

NOTD: Pokemon Nails - Pokeballs!

Hi guys!

So, I ordered some BM plates off of ebay a while ago, and they finally arrived! I'm so excited to try them out!!
I got the set of 21 plates, plus the seller threw in 4 extra plates, all for the price of only $11.99!
The only thing I don't really like about the BM plates is that the full coverage stamps seem to be a bit more narrow than regular konad. Oh well, I can't complain for the price.

Okay, on to the NOTD! I seen these plastered all over the internet, and I thought they were so cute! I did these a few days ago, and honestly, they were so amazingly easy to do.
Pokeballs! Yayyyyyy!

I remember going to Burger King as a kid and buying the Pokeballs they used to sell.
I wish I still had them, it would have been awesome to hold while showing off these beauties!

 PRODUCTS USED:
  • Sally Hansen Insta-Dri - Whirlwind White
  •  Art Deco Black
  • OPI - Bullish On OPI

On a sad note, I have chopped off all my nails. They are now back to short nubs :(
They are also soooo dry and brittle. I'm starting to think it's not only the weather, but also the chemicals I use at work. Hmmm...

ALSO OUR GIVEAWAY ENDS VERY SOON.
ENTER HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Bye! :)

Hey Guys,
I hope all of you had a great easter!! I know that I did.
My easter was filled with lots of sour keys, mini eggs, and episodes of fresh prince (best gift everrr).

Today I just wanted something quick and simple, so I just decided to pack some glitter onto my already painted nails. The glitter is 'Party of 5 Glitters' (we included one of these in the giveaway), and I loveeeeeee it. There is so much colourful glitter.
PRODUCTS USED:
  • Nicole by OPI (Nic Stick) - Silverella (base)
  • Wet N Wild - Party of 5 Glitters
  • Seche Vite

NOTD: Easter Nails Pt 3! Chicks with a twist :)

Heyyyyyyyyyyyyy guys!

This is a quick easter NOTD that I did last week.
I wanted to do chicks with bunny ears, hahaha. I don't really like how they came out, but that's okay. They were a little rushed, and it just didn't beat the bunny nails that I did a while ago.
My cuticles are actually terrible in this picture, but I had no time to moisturize because I was actually on a boat at the time (random, I know).
HERE IT IS!..
       PRODUCTS USED:
  • Nicole By OPI - "Baby" Blue (Base)
  • A Random Yellow (Chick)
  • Art Deco Black (Eyes)
  • Art Deco White (Ears)
  • Avon - Cotton Candy (Inside Ears)
  • A Random Orange (Beak)

And on a very very sad note, I completely demolished one of my nails. It made a very clean break... Want to have a look? It might be painful to look at...  SO DEPRESSING!!!!
I know, I'm dramatic, but now I don't have pretty nails!!
Oh, a bit of this break was caused by moving around lots of merchandise at my work today, but the finale was when i was tapping my hands/fingers on my steering wheel while listening to music... that's when the real damage happened.
I really need to file it down, which means the other will probably be going too.

Thanks for listening to my ramblings, haha. I'm probably going to do another NOTD tonight... I'll keep you guys posted!

NOTD: Blue Marble Nails, Crackle!

HI!
I got my license FINALLY on Wednesday. I totally should have had it years ago, but I just neglected to.. Oh! And I got it on my first try too! It's so awesome that I have it now! I finally have that little bit of freedom. Woohoo :D
I still need to work on my parking skills, but other than that, it's all good.

So! About the NOTD... I tried the water marbling for the second time, and I was happy with the outcome. I wish I did brighter colours, but oh well.
The picture was taken at night so the colour is crap, but it's the best I could do.
I tend to wear a lot of black, and I found all the blue kind of clashed with it. Instead of taking this off, I decided to switch it up a little and add OPI's Black Shatter to this mani.
I like the way it came out!

This picture of the black shatter was taken in the day (you can really tell the difference, haha). I like the result, but it might have been better if the colours underneath were brighter.

PRODUCTS USED:
  • OPI - Black Shatter
  • Random White For Base
  • LA Girl - Intoxicate
  • LA Girl - Hypnotic
  • China Glaze - For Audrey
  • Seche Vite
I think I'm going to try some more easter nails tomorrow.
I'm currently looking for my Seche Vite and I can't find it :S
I even have like...three bottles floating around but I can't seem to find one.
I really need a better way of storing my polish.

HOW DO YOU STORE YOUR POLISH?
I have around 200, and I pretty much have the good ones in a storage container with three compartments, and the other ones are in a wicker shelving unit. Sad days.

Have a good weekend!

NOTD: Cute flower!

Hey guys!
I'm getting so tired of the weather lately! I just want to see blue sky and green grass. While hoping that this will come soon, I did these 'good weather' kind of nails :), and I like the way they came out. Hereeeeee they are...
 PRODUCTS USED:
  • Nicole by OPI - "Baby" Blue (base)
  • China Glaze - Electric Pineapple (tips, and flower)
  • Sally Hansen Insta-Dri - Whirlwind White (Konad clouds)
  • Gosh - Peachy (flower)
  • China Glaze - 108 Degrees (flower)
  • Nicole by OPI - Make Mine Lime (on flower stem)
  • Gem for inside of flower
  • Konad plate m79
The clouds really remind me of Super Mario... Possibly a good idea for after Easter?

NOTD: Easter Nails Pt. 1! Bunny Nails.

Hey guys!
I'm getting into the easter spirit early this year, so, I have decided to do a bit of Easter nail art before it gets here! I just have to say that I am so pleased with these nails. I think they are so cute, and they were pretty easy too, the only fustrating part (and it was very time consuming) was using the bullion beads for the whiskers. Over all though, I think these are so cute, and instead of using the bullion, you could just draw on the whiskers with an art pen, or something of the sort.
Here it is!
Bunny Nails :) Excuse the painful hang nail!

Products Used:
  • Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear - Lacey Lilac (base)
  • Sally Hansen Insta Dri - Whirlwind White (rabit)
  • A Franken Polish for both nose and ears (pinks and whites mixed together)
  • Art Deco Black

Oh, just as a giveaway up date, Jenny and I have all of the stuff, we just need to get all the stuff together so that we can take pictures and open it up to everyone.
We also would like to thank all of you that follow us! You guys are awesome!!!

NOTD: Green Glitter Leopard Print (Brilliant Idea!)

Hey Guys!!
Today's 'Nail of The Day' is green leopard print. It's the same idea as the pink one I posted here. I hope you guys enjoy!

 PRODUCTS USED:
  • Nicole by OPI - Brilliant Idea (base)
  • LA Girl - Head Banging (spots)
  • Art Deco Black
  • Seche Vite

I love the base colour. The bright green sparkles are so intense. I should have taken a picture of it on it's own. It is the the same formula as One Less Lonely Glitter (loveeee) :)

Oh, I also bought the new OPI Femme De Cirque Collection tonight, and I have it swatched as well. I just have to take the pictures, so I'm waiting for tomorrow because I will have natural lighting (which will be best for these colours).

I hope you all have a great weekend!!
Toodles!

NOTD: Multi Colour Shatter!

 Hey Guys!!
Today I am bring you my shatter experiment. At first this was not what I was going for... My nails were just supposed to be yellow with pink crackle...

I didn't really like the combination for my skin colour (i'm really pale), so I decided to use my black shatter on top of what I already had...
I like it! :)
You can't see the yellow very well in this picture, but I love the way it looks in person. The yellow is subtle, and it brings it a bit of brightness. Plus, there is coral micro glitter in the yellow, so it catches the light.

PRODUCTS USED:
  •  Nicole by OPI - Yellow It's Me
  • China Glaze - Broken Hearted (Crackle Glaze)
  • OPI - Black Shatter
  • Seche Vite
I can't wait to do this with other colours! I'm thinking blues, purples, and greys? I'm thinking the colours will show up a lot better too.

I'm thinking about doing my Easter nail art soon as well. To soon? Or should I start ASAP?

NOTD: Simple Dots

Hey Guys!
Today has been yet another lazy day! I had the day off so the bf and I went to see the Lincoln Lawyer (which is pretty good!), then we went home, and I made cupcakes :), after that we just lazed around and watched CSI.
Back to work tomorrow! :(
So, tonight I decided to do another simple design. I'm unsure of what to call it, but it has dots!
I love doing crazy/intense nail art, but I know that it might not be everybody's thing, so I'm going to try posting simple art more often. Something that anyone at any level can do!

PRODUCTS USED:
  • China Glaze - Blue Iguana (blue half of nail)
  • Nicole by OPI - Light A Candle (silver/mauve part of nail)
  • Sally Hansen Insta Dri - Whirlwind White (white dots)
  • Nicole by OPI - "Baby" Blue (small blue dots)
  • Dotting tool
  • Seche Vite (top coat)

    NOTD: Green Polka Dots

    Hey guys,
Today was a lazy but tiring Sunday, so I decided to do something quick and easy. I took off my 'electric pineapple' that I put on last night, and tried out 'cha cha cha'. I'm not one to wear just solid colour, so I thought polka dots would be cute.
I went with Nicole by OPI's 'give me the 1st dance' because I didn't want to over power the bold green. I liked how it turned out, how about you?

    PRODUCTS USED:
    • China Glaze -  Cha Cha Cha
    • Nicole by OPI - Give Me The 1st Dance
    • Konad m79 plate

I'm off to watch the Juno's!

    NOTD: Birthday Nails

    Hey guys!
Yesterday it was my friends birthday, and I did her nails. They came out pretty cute!! I found the cupcake design on google, and used it because it was so freakin' cute. I love it.
    PRODUCTS USED:
    • China Glaze - For Audrey (pinky and thumb background)
    • Avon - Cotton Candy (heart) mixed with Nicole by OPI - I Pink I Love Him
    • Sally Hansen Insta-Dri - Whirlwind White (icing and 17)
    • Nicole by OPI - Have A Heart (heart on top of cupcake)
    • Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear - Virtual Violet (ring finger background)
    • Nicole by OPI - One Less Lonely Glitter (middle finger)
    • OPI - Lucky Lucky Lavender (under OLLG)
    • Sally Hansen - Everlasting Pink (pointer finger background)
    • Dotting tool
So many colours used, ahaha. There were also random bright colours used for the sprinkles on the cupcakes and the candles on the pointer finger. I think they came out really good :) I really want to do a full cupcake mani now, lol.
Hope everyone has a great weekend!
