NOTD: Cupcake nails!!

Hey Guys!
K, so, anyone who knows me, knows I love cupcakes. Everything about them. Loves. Cupcakes.
So, when I seen cupcake nails circulating on google, I had to do them...
I first did them on my friend Ashley (they were a part of her birthday nails seen here!!), and I loved them. A few nights ago I decided to give them a go again, and I did all of my fingers with cupcakes on them :)
The only thing I would have changed is my colour choices. I don't know how I feel about the yellow cups. Hahaha.
Oh, I also bought a crazy florescent light bulb too, so Im hoping that will make some of my pictures brighter.
Here they areee:
More pic's and products used after the jump!

NOTD: Skittles

Hey guys!

I did this 'skittles' mani, and I think it turned out great. For those of you who are unfarmilliar with the term (when I first heard of it, all I could think of was candy, haha), you have to have five different designs on one hand.
Honestly, you could do each finger differently, if you wanted, but I decided to keep both hands the same, but switch the fingers up a bit.
I loved doing this! I was sososososooooooooooooooooo happy with the polkadots! I did them with my dotting tool, and I think I did them pretty well.
What do you think? Have you ever done skittles?

PRODUCTS USED:
  • MAC - Blue India
  • China Glaze - For Audrey
  • China Glaze - Lightening Bolt
  • Sally Hansen - Whirlwind White
  • LA Colours - Current
  • Seche Vite
  • Dotting tool

I hope everyone has a great weekend!!

NOTD: Pokemon Nails - Pokeballs!

Hi guys!

So, I ordered some BM plates off of ebay a while ago, and they finally arrived! I'm so excited to try them out!!
I got the set of 21 plates, plus the seller threw in 4 extra plates, all for the price of only $11.99!
The only thing I don't really like about the BM plates is that the full coverage stamps seem to be a bit more narrow than regular konad. Oh well, I can't complain for the price.

Okay, on to the NOTD! I seen these plastered all over the internet, and I thought they were so cute! I did these a few days ago, and honestly, they were so amazingly easy to do.
Pokeballs! Yayyyyyy!

I remember going to Burger King as a kid and buying the Pokeballs they used to sell.
I wish I still had them, it would have been awesome to hold while showing off these beauties!

 PRODUCTS USED:
  • Sally Hansen Insta-Dri - Whirlwind White
  •  Art Deco Black
  • OPI - Bullish On OPI

On a sad note, I have chopped off all my nails. They are now back to short nubs :(
They are also soooo dry and brittle. I'm starting to think it's not only the weather, but also the chemicals I use at work. Hmmm...

NOTD: Easter Nails Pt. 1! Bunny Nails.

Hey guys!
I'm getting into the easter spirit early this year, so, I have decided to do a bit of Easter nail art before it gets here! I just have to say that I am so pleased with these nails. I think they are so cute, and they were pretty easy too, the only fustrating part (and it was very time consuming) was using the bullion beads for the whiskers. Over all though, I think these are so cute, and instead of using the bullion, you could just draw on the whiskers with an art pen, or something of the sort.
Here it is!
Bunny Nails :) Excuse the painful hang nail!

Products Used:
  • Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear - Lacey Lilac (base)
  • Sally Hansen Insta Dri - Whirlwind White (rabit)
  • A Franken Polish for both nose and ears (pinks and whites mixed together)
  • Art Deco Black

Oh, just as a giveaway up date, Jenny and I have all of the stuff, we just need to get all the stuff together so that we can take pictures and open it up to everyone.
We also would like to thank all of you that follow us! You guys are awesome!!!

NOTD: Simple Dots

Hey Guys!
Today has been yet another lazy day! I had the day off so the bf and I went to see the Lincoln Lawyer (which is pretty good!), then we went home, and I made cupcakes :), after that we just lazed around and watched CSI.
Back to work tomorrow! :(
So, tonight I decided to do another simple design. I'm unsure of what to call it, but it has dots!
I love doing crazy/intense nail art, but I know that it might not be everybody's thing, so I'm going to try posting simple art more often. Something that anyone at any level can do!

PRODUCTS USED:
  • China Glaze - Blue Iguana (blue half of nail)
  • Nicole by OPI - Light A Candle (silver/mauve part of nail)
  • Sally Hansen Insta Dri - Whirlwind White (white dots)
  • Nicole by OPI - "Baby" Blue (small blue dots)
  • Dotting tool
  • Seche Vite (top coat)

    NOTD: Love Nails

    Hey!
So tonight i decided to do another look. It's super simple, and anyone can do it. You also don't need a lot of polishes, which is a plus :D
When I thought of this design, I originally wanted a really soft/baby pink colour as a base, but I think it turned out well with the bright flamingo pink. This design would have been really cute for Valentines Day... to bad it's 11 months away, ahaha.

     With flash!

Without flash! (You can't see the shimmer and glitter.)

    PRODUCTS USED:
    • Sally Hansen Insta-Dri - Presto Pink (base, and inside of heart)
    • LA Girl Rockstar - Paparazzi (over the base)
    • LA Colours Art Deco - Black

    NOTD: Under The Sea

    Hello hello hello!

So today I took advantage of having the day off work and did some nail art. It's actually for a nail comp. and the theme was "under the sea". I think that they turned out pretty nice, although next time I think I would do a different base, China Glaze's Atlantis maybe? My base was CG's For Audrey, with two coats of Revlon's Galaxy, along with another two coats of La Colors teal glitter on top of that.
The colour was beautiful, it's just that it pulled soooo much, so I had a bit of visible nail :(.

Here are the colours used to create this look:
    • CG - For Audrey (base)
    •  LA Colours Art Deco - Teal Gitter (base)
    • Revlon - Galaxy (base)
    • SH Insta Dri - Whirlwind White (under most colours)
    • Avon Nailwear Pro - Sunshine (sand)
    • Gosh - Flamingo (fish)
    • Nicole by OPI - you're an angel (fish)
    • Nicole by OPI - fresh squeezed (fish and coral)
    • Nicole by OPI - yellow, it's me - matte (seaweed)
    • SH Insta-Dri - Lickety Split Lime
    • la colours - baby pink, fun in the sun (both mixed together with SH whirlwind white) (jelly fish)
    • Nicole by OPI - I'm a Belieber (jelly fish)
    • Seche Vite

If you didn't notice, I didn't use a base coat with this design. I usually use OPI's nail envy, but I recently ran out.

I think i'm ready for a change.. What base coat do you recommend??
